well this one is complicated.... being full of symbolism both obvious and not. of course there are the colors, but i don't think i need to explain those to you. the body outlines are representative of them as adults, being naked as to not assume anything about their future. the faces are of them in the present time of the series. and notice the way they are facing... that represents their current POV of the future and the war. Aang and Katara face away from the front/future/war, as they are more focused on other things (Aang on finding Appa, Katara on Aang). while Zuko and Toph are only looking away a bit, representing their own introverted problems. and Sokka, being the worrier that he is... is facing the war head on.
as for the style of the piece.... i wanted to try something different, something not yet seen (i haven't anyway) with this subject matter. i took a lot of time on this. though there are mistakes (Sokka looks like he's stabbing Aang in the head... i know. oh well...) i'm pretty happy with it. Aang was giving me so many problems though! i drew 6 different finished poses for him, all of which sucked in my mind, so i decided on the one that is very much like Toph's pose, only from the front. of course i'm happiest with Sokka, Zuko, and Toph... but i always am, their easier to draw and get my mind into... course isn't that always the way with fav characters? you can draw the others, but not as well.

AND YES I KNOW ZOKO'S BACKWARDS! before anyone says... but honestly... he wouldn't fit well the other way. HEY WAIT! nevermind! i can say they're all mirror reflections.... HA! BOOYAH!.... okay i'll go to bed now... i obviously need sleep
